Masquerading as Me

This is my roleplay blog. I've been gaming since I started University, which was in 1981. Back then there was pretty much nothing else to play but AD&D, so that's what I started with. I'm also a live roleplayer and sometimes I do re-enactment as well.

Not leaving after all ?

I've been persuaded to try and hang on in with the WFRP game. We are looking at leaving our current venue (which chages) for one that doesn't (relevant flat mate's agreement to this pending).

I do enjoy the WFRP game a lot and I don't really want to stop playing, so we shall see how things go.

In the end I did retire from the WFRP game. It's finished now and people have moved on to play in a LOTFR game.

The cost of the WFRP game got too much for me, sadly. I also felt my character had reached a point where she would call it a day in terms of ever adventuring again, because of both physical and psychological injuries received.

I wasn't happy with the rape scene that happened, not because it hapened, but because it was treated as "oh yeah, you got raped by beastmen while you were unconscious, but now lets get back to town..." It offended my sensibilities, not least because I'm a childhood sexual assault survivor. It also upset the venue owner, since the gamenights there are meant to be 12a rated and our GM forgot that.
