Masquerading as Me

This is my roleplay blog. I've been gaming since I started University, which was in 1981. Back then there was pretty much nothing else to play but AD&D, so that's what I started with. I'm also a live roleplayer and sometimes I do re-enactment as well.

Update on the Games

Just back from a wonderful Camarilla weekend ! I played Requiem twice. I also had a go at Awakening after a considerable time lapse since I last played that.

The ins and outs of the Requiem game are far too complex to go into the details of. Major events include my character running round like mad to prevent his Covenant and his Prince from going to war with each other, getting promoted, not dying horribly and not getting caught out at any of his various evil doings. The only disappointment was that the Nosferatu clan meeting didn't happen, mostly due to lack of time and availability of rooms.

I had to drop out of Awakening after a short time because I was feeling icky - not enough sleep and too much madness had resulted in classic a LARP hangover by Saturday morning. Fortunately taking it easy after I quit Mage let me recover enough to enjoy the second session of Requiem. Those who did complete the Awakening game seemed to have enjoyed it. Likewise those who played Mortals and Werewolf during the weekend.

The hotel was pretty obliging, the staff were polite and not too wigged out by us all. The food there was alright but predictably expensive and the service was slow. We managed to get a deal for part of the weekend off Rice Bar in Piccadilly Gardens anyway.
